The barn

Last night I went to the barn with my mom and had a blast! First I rode a 7 year old standardbred mare that we got from new vocations a few years ago. When we got her she really didn't know how to anything. She was broke to ride but not really. So I tought her ground manners, to lunge, and then restarted her under saddle. Sence she was so green she would spook at everything so it took a long time to get her going well on the ground. Then I started riding her and she was always really nerves. Now she is still slightly spookie and nerves but doing a whole lot better.

So yesterday I got on her and hadn't been on her for a month or longer. I lunged her first then got on. For the whole time I have ever worked with her she always played with the bit. Yesterday I bridled her and got on and she was doing the same thing. So we hooked some other rains to the halter that we had under the bridle. I started riding with just her halter and she seemed so much more relaxed. Then we took of the bridle and halter and put on the hack-more ( a bittless bridle). She was pretty sensitive to it was was a lot calmer with it. So today when I'm done with this blog we are going to go to the barn and I am going to ride her in the hack-more. I hope she continues to do well in it.
