Barn update

So I went to the barn Saturday like I said I was going to do in my last blog. I went to the barn and rode two other horses and then rode sirocco ( the green 7year old STB ). I was planing on riding her for an hour just walking around and over different obsticals. I got her in the arena and didn't let her walk or look at any of the obsticals before getting on. After I got on her we started walking around not over any obsticals and she was doing really well. She was calm, listening to the hackamore, and wasn't playing with her tonge. They I started going over some of the obsticals. First we weaves some cones, and she did really well, I could feel her hind end really being engaged. After we did the cones a few time we walked over a tarp. Horses are naturally very scared of tarps but I have worked with sirocco and the tarp this past summer and she was good. We were approaching the tarp and she looked at it but kept walking and walked right over it. Next we walked through an "L" shaped line of ground poles, over some flowers, and over a bridge. I was so pround of her! She didn't stop at any of the obsticals. Then it started to rain and it was really loud on the metle roof. She is not used to the loud noise and shorted to get a little anise. I just sat on her until she quieted back down and then I dismounted. She did really well and I think this hackamore is going to work really well for her.
